Donna Faye’s String Bean Casserole

3 cans French-style string beans

1 can cream of mushroom soup                                                                                             

¼ lb. raw bacon

½ cup grated cheese

sprinkle on the DARN GOOD SEASONING

Buttered bread crumbs

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Rinse and drain string beans.  Mix beans, soup, chopped bacon, cheese and DARN GOOD SEASONING together in a mixing bowl.  Be sure that all ingredients are mixed well.  Mixture will be juicy.

Butter a 1 ½  quart casserole dish, then place mixture inside.  Sprinkle a light layer of bread crumbs on top.  Place in oven until mixture begins to bubble and edges turn golden brown.  Bake for 35 to 45 minutes.  (Yields 8 1/2 cup servings).

 

 

Broccoli Cheese Soup

1 medium onion (chopped)

1 rib of celery (chopped)

1 half cup chopped bell pepper

1chopped fresh garlic clove

½ stick butter

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 can cream of celery soup

3 cans milk

1 can sliced mushrooms, drained.

1 bag chopped broccoli, cooked

1 lb. Mexican Velveeta Cheese

1/4 TSP DARN GOOD SEASONING

 

Cook on low heat in 6 quart sauce pan.  Stir often until cheese is melted…stirring is very important, will easily burn if not stirred.  This is the BEST EVER!!!

 

 

Pasta Salad

1 lb. Angel Hair Pasta (rinse in cold water) drain

2 small cans black olives-chopped

4-5 stalks chopped celery

1 bunch onion tops, chopped

1 (16 oz.) bottle Wish Bone Italian Dressing

½ bottle McCormick's Salad Supreme

6 medium tomatoes chopped

 

Mix together.  Refrigerate overnight. Add  DARN GOOD SEASONING, season to taste.

 

 

Happy Potatoes

1 (2 pound) package of frozen hash browns, thawed

1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of potato soup

1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of celery soup

1 (16 ounce) container sour cream

¼ cup milk

½ cup onion, chopped

11/2 TSP of DARN GOOD SEASONING

1/8 tsp. Dried dill weed

2 cups finely shredded Cheddar cheese

 

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Spray or grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.  Combine all ingredients into large bowl except for the cheese and paprika.  Pour into baking dish.  Sprinkle cheese evenly over mixture and then top with paprika.  Bake for 1 ½ hours until browned on top and bubbly. Cover top with DARN GOOD SEASONING

 

 

 

Corn Casserole

1 can cream corn

1 can whole kernel corn (drained)

1 cup sour cream

1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

1 egg

¼ cup chopped onions

¼ cup chopped bell peppers

1 box Jiffy corn bread mix

1 cup jalapenos (optional)

 

Mix all ingredients together.  Pour into baking pan.  Bake on 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until golden brown on top.  VERY EASY, VERY VERY GOOD! Cover top with DARN GOOD SEASONING. The more the merrier!!

 

 

Faye's Crab Stew

Sauté in large pot:

1 stick butter

1/2 green pepper (fine)

1 large onion chopped (fine)

Darn Good Seasoning to taste
Splash of Worcestershire sauce

1 lb. crabmeat

Sauté for just a few minutes

 

Mix together in another bowl :
1 can cream Mushroom soup

1 can cream celery soup
1 Pt. half & half or milk

Mix until Smooth

 

Add this mixture to pot and warm (do not boil)
Heat until hot, add 1/2 cup sherry or white wine
Sprinkle Darn Good Seasoning on top & serve
